The Proud Winners of the SG2K 12 Trophies

First of all, we want to start with a big thanks to all the teams. Many of them came up with epic and extremely creative themes that blew us away! So many crazy and exciting things happened during the week, and we’re thrilled to share the winners of this SG2K! It was a hard decision to make, but we ended up with the best of them all. Meet the proud winners of the SG2K 12 trophies!

First Place: Team #69, Team Wolf of Wall Street. Patrique & Jens went all out, wrapping their car in an epic design. They made sure to wear the right outfits most of the time and printed 50,000 fake bills. They created an amazing experience in a club during our party, taking over the venue with the Wolf of Wall Street theme song and dancing in the arena. And that wasn’t all; they topped it off with an incredible video on a yacht, giving us the real feeling of the ultimate SG2K 12 winners. At the finish, their car was fully loaded with (fake) money, ensuring everyone knew who they were. Patrique & Jens, well done! We can’t wait to see what theme you come up with next year, as the first-place winners get a free pass for next year’s SG2K!

Second Place: The Willy Wonka-themed car, driven by Evita and wrapped by Peter. She had an amazing theme, transforming herself every day—one day as Miss Wonka, the next as a little Oompa Loompa. If you looked closely at her RS6, you could see an Oompa Loompa at the back of the car. To everyone’s surprise, it was Evita herself! At the start and every time there was a public car display, she handed out self-made goodies filled with candy and toys. If kids weren’t allowed to eat candy, she had candy balloons ready to give them. A well-deserved second place for the Wonka mobile!

Third Place: Team Pussymeister Pornstar! These gentlemen had the best time, and we want to congratulate them on this well-deserved 3rd place. Bouke & Maarten really outdid themselves with this theme. The Porsche was wrapped on both sides with a creative and different design. Bouke even painted his beard, and they always wore their wigs and custom made outfits. Every time we had a stop or public display, Bouke made sure to hand out candy—not just any candy, but candy in all sorts of shapes fitting their theme. This candy was only appropriate for 18+. We laughed and enjoyed their presence and theme a lot! Congratulations on the third place!

If you say “All Balls Out,” you kind of hear it echoing “Marco & Maarten. They are on a real streak! This is the third year they’ve won the All Balls Out trophy. And not only because they deserve it, but because they truly understand the meaning of “all balls out.” Marco & Maarten made a lot of people smile, and we’re not sure if that was because they felt uncomfortable or they thought it was funny. If you stood too close to their car, there was a chance you’d get sprayed with what we hope wasn’t real sh*t. Their Fart Machine was perfectly in theme with their heads on it, and they even had matching suits at the finish. For the finish, Marco & Maarten transformed into human-sized whoopee cushions. They made a huge number of people laugh with this. They are therefore the rightful winners of the All Balls Out trophy!

Best Rookie: This year we had many new teams joining us at SG2K 12. This made us very excited, so we decided to create a new trophy for this category. The winners of the Best Rookie award were Team Schultenbrau – Melvin & Roel. With their car wrapped in a Schultenbrau design, accompanied by familiar faces from Maaskantje, they really stole the show. Their car was fully loaded with their favorite beer (or not, we’re not sure because we’ve seen them drink other brands as well). Wearing wigs suited to the characters from Maaskantje, they outdid themselves for the first time and definitely deserved to win the Best Rookie prize!

Spirit of SG2K: With this prize, we look at the overall picture. From beginning to end, who brings joy, feels the spirit of SG2K, and outdid themselves with the wrap? This time it was Team Orange Madness by Elie & Patrick. They wrapped their car in an eye-blinding chrome wrap and got themselves some epic wigs to match their outfits. Always in a good mood, with their happiest faces throughout the whole week!

Best Wrap: The winners of last year’s SG2K joined us again this year, creating an amazing wrap that we were very impressed by. Team Vikings outdid themselves with a unique wrap. Not only was the car completely transformed with the right theme, but they also wore the coolest outfits that perfectly matched their theme. We want to congratulate Taeke & Angelique with the Best Wrap prize.

And last but not least, no paparazzi please. Or we mean, paparazzi please! Our one and only Carvlogger – Amrit, who joined Mr. StreetGasm in team #00, deserved this prize like no other. He made sure the whole week was captured online and got everyone on camera. Well done and congratulations on the Paparazzi Trophy!
